HuMJah is Heather Marie Jackson

About HuMJah

The first question when people see “HuMJah” is “What does that mean?” HuMJah doesn’t mean anything. It’s the nickname Heather’s adoptive father gave her. If you take the initials from her name, Heather Marie Jackson (and even before she was married, her last name started with a J!), then you get HMJ. Daddy saw them and tried saying them like a word, and she tried to spell what he said.

Heather is pleased to call herself a disciple of Christ. She’s considers herself blessed to be married to John, who has been gracious enough to humor her with multiple pets (they currently have two cats and two dogs, but there was a house rabbit that liked to chew through things and goldfish named for the Three Stooges previously)! Heather, who was adopted at 17, has a large family (at the time of this writing, she has ten nieces and three nephews)!

Heather says that life is too short not to enjoy it. You can usually find her by following the sound of her laughter. Her car is usually full of games, and she’s nearly always ready to learn a new one. She loves to travel, too; she said that part of why she married John when they were as young as they were was because she didn’t want to travel the world without him there to share it with her as she went. She loves music, too, but then, as you read her musings, you’ll begin to discover more about her diverse tastes.
